On the eve of the 2024 general election, Labour moved to remove the iconic Diane Abbott from her Hackney seat.


I wrote about the impact this could have on Black voters. The Labour leadership reversed their decision the next day and Diane is now Mother of the House.

The Equalities Minister, Kemi Badenoch, played down the importance of colonialism and slavery in British wealth creation.
